Position:         Security Officer

Location:        YORK (YO31 area) permanent site

Requirements:

Successful candidates will be working at one permanent site, a student halls of residence in York. You'll need to have a valid frontline SIA licence along with excellent communication ability, both verbal and written and a smart appearance.You will be working at one permanent site, a student halls of residence in York. 

To comply with BS7858, you need to provide last 5 years history without any gaps. This includes all periods of employment, unemployment, self employment and study. You must also have no restrictions on taking up full time employment in the UK. Driving licence and own transport is desirable although not essential. We are looking to employ suitable candidate who live within a maximum of 30 minutes commute from YO31 post code area. Regrettably, if you live further afield, we wouldn't be able to process your application for this position.

Hours: Full time permanent. Working days, nights, evenings and weekends.

Duties include:

  • Reception duties, including controlling access and egress of residents and visitors.
  • Answering phone calls and dealing with residents and visitors face to face.
  • Dealing with emergency services as and when needed.
  • Maintaining health and safety standards ensuring safety and security of residents and visitors as well as property.
  • Internal and external patrols of multi storey building.
  • Investigating and dealing with noise complaints.
  • Investigating alarms.
  • Writing reports of daily activities and completing other relevant paperwork.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations including Health & Safety, Data Protection and other site specific assignment instructions.
  • Keeping an eye on in-house CCTV when free from other duties.
  • Keeping the staff area tidy.
  • Other security / reception tasks as and when given by the site management.

Position:         Security Officer (14 hours per week)
​Pay rate:         £9.00 ph
Location:        Bradford 

​Requirements:

You must have previous verifiable work history within the man guarding field, ideally within the student accommodation sector. You'll be working 14 hours per week over 7 days, 8pm to 10pm as security officer at student accommodation building within walking distance from Bradford university. You need to have a valid frontline SIA licence along with excellent communication ability in English language, both written and verbal, as well as a smart appearance.

To comply with BS7858, the applicants must be able to provide last 5 years name, address and employment history. You must also have (unrestricted) right to work in the UK. Full driving licence and own transport essential as you may be occasionally required to attend site on short notice.

There is also a possibility of an additional role being made available for the right candidate to work as mobile response officer, however this purely depends on suitability of the successful candidate. Full training will be provided.

Due to the type of role, we’re looking to employ a suitable candidate who lives within a maximum of 04 miles radius from Bradford city centre, ideally close to Bradford university. Regrettably, if you live further afield, we wouldn't be able to process your application for this position.

Location:        Bradford (BD3)

​Requirements:

You must have previous verifiable work history within the man guarding field. You need to have a valid front line SIA licence along with excellent communication ability in English, both written and verbal, as well as a smart appearance. Knowledge of spoken Urdu / Punjabi / Mirpuri will be a huge advantage for this position. You would be conducting foot patrols of site including car parks, controlling access at points of entry, securing equipment and people, responding to emergency situations and helping to identify and prevent criminal activity.

To comply with BS7858, the applicants must be able to provide last 5 years work history. You must also have (unrestricted) right to work in the UK. Full driving licence and own transport essential as you may be occasionally required to attend site on short notice.

Due to the type of role, we’re looking to employ suitable candidate who lives within a maximum of 02 miles radius from BD3 area. Regrettably, if you live further afield, we may not be able to process your application for this position.

Thur, Fri: OFF
Sat, Sun: 11:00 - 15:00

Week-2

Fri: 11:30 - 19:30
Sat, Sun: 18:00 - 22:00

Duties include;

  • Traffic management during peak hours
  • Writing reports of daily activities and completing other relevant paperwork

  • Investigating and dealing with disturbances and anti social behaviour
  • Other security related tasks as and when given by the site management
